Sleeping Setup
Kilimanjaro Sleeping Setup
Rest is the Key to a Successful Summit, and at Kilimanjaro Climbing Club we know this. A successful Kilimanjaro climb is not just about endurance — it’s about rest, recovery, and regeneration at the end of each trekking day. That’s why sleeping arrangements matter just as much as the journey itself.
With Kilimanjaro Climbing Club, you won’t be sleeping in standard trekking tents or using basic gear. Instead, every detail of your sleeping setup has been carefully selected for superior warmth, stability, and comfort—so you can rest and recover properly before each day’s adventure.
All of our premium sleeping gear is rented exclusively from us, guaranteeing the highest quality and hygiene.
WHAT YOU GET FOR A PERFECT NIGHT’S SLEEP
TENTS – Spacious, high-end expedition tents that offer full protection from the elements, keeping you warm and dry.
MATTRESS – A thick, supportive mattress that provides superior comfort and insulation. Wake up refreshed and ready for the climb.
Sleeping Bags for rent – high-quality, four-season sleeping bags rated for sub-zero temperatures. You may of course bring your own sleeping bag if preferred, but it must be rated for extreme conditions.
Pro Tips: Sleep on Kilimanjaro
Bring plenty of warm packs (hand & foot warmers) — they’re lifesavers during freezing nights.
Pack thermal socks only for sleeping — dry, warm feet make all the difference.
Don’t overdress inside your sleeping bag.
Use a hot water bottle for extra warmth.
Vent your tent slightly to reduce condensation.
Stay hydrated, but avoid too much water before bed.
Wear a beanie while sleeping to retain body heat.
Keep tomorrow’s clothes in your sleeping bag to pre-warm them.
