1. How difficult is it to climb Kilimanjaro?
Climbing Kilimanjaro is a challenge, but it’s a non-technical trek, meaning no mountain climbing experience is required.
The biggest challenge is altitude, so proper acclimatization is key.
2. How many days does it take to climb Kilimanjaro?
Most routes take 6–8 days depending on the itinerary. Longer treks increase
the chance of successful acclimatization and reaching the summit.

No technical skills are required, but cardio, strength training, and hiking practice are highly

4. What is altitude sickness, and how can I avoid it?
Altitude sickness is caused by low oxygen at high elevations. To prevent it, we recommend gradual
acclimatization, staying hydrated, and listening to your guide’s advice.

5. What’s the best time of year to climb Kilimanjaro?
The best months are January–March and June–October, as they have the best weather and
climbing conditions.

7. Where do we sleep on the mountain?
With Kilimanjaro Climbing Club, you’ll sleep in spacious, high-quality expedition tents, equipped with warm sleeping bags, comfortable mattresses, and private toilet tents. For more details,

8. What kind of food is provided?
We provide nutritious, chef-prepared meals designed to keep you energized and strong throughout the climb. Special dietary requests can be accommodated.

9. How do I go to the bathroom on Kilimanjaro?
We provide private, eco-friendly, portable flush toilets to ensure your comfort and hygiene —
no need to use public mountain facilities. In addition, each day, in the morning and afternoon,
you will receive a bowl of hot water with soap to wash yourself. For more details, please check

10. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is recommended. It should cover high-altitude trekking, trip
cancellations, and medical evacuations.
11. Do I need a visa to travel to Tanzania?
Most travelers need a Tanzanian Visa, which can be obtained on arrival or online before departure.

12. What happens if I can’t continue the climb?
If you experience serious altitude sickness or another issue, our guides are trained in safety protocols,
and we have a rescue plan in place to ensure your well-being.
13. What is the tipping policy for guides and porters?
Tipping is customary and greatly appreciated. We provide a recommended tipping guide to help you prepare.
14. Is there Wi-Fi or phone service on Kilimanjaro?
There is limited mobile coverage. Don’t expect reliable service.
Most climbers use the experience to disconnect and enjoy nature.
15. Can I climb Kilimanjaro solo, or do I need a guide?
Tanzanian law requires all climbers to be accompanied by a licensed guide and support team for safety reasons.
