Marangu Route

COMFORTABLE · CLASSIC · WELL-ESTABLISHED

The Marangu Route, also known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is the most traditional path to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. It’s favored for its permanent mountain huts, hot meals, and sheltered accommodations, offering a more comfortable trekking experience than other routes.

With a gradual ascent and well-defined trail, Marangu is ideal for trekkers seeking a less physically demanding journey to the summit. This 5- or 6-day route is perfect for those who want a classic Kilimanjaro adventure with added comfort and ease.

At Kilimanjaro Climbing Club, we recommend the Marangu Route for climbers who value structure, simplicity, and a more relaxed approach to reaching the Roof of Africa.
